Performance Classes with Indigo!

Come and Join Indigo from 7:45-9pm on Thursdays at Ottoman.
This will be a Intermediate / Advanced Level Belly Dance Class.
(Appropriate for those with at least a few sessions of Beginning Belly Dance).
Class will be dedicated to preparing students whom wish to be on stage
either in a troupe or as a soloist whether for fun in front of friends
or those of you who are interested in performing in restaurants.
We will be working on Technique, isolations, and crazy traveling layers!
Also we will be starting a new Russian Gypsy Choreography.
Those interested will have the opportunity to perform with Indigo's dance Troupe.

Not Your Grandma's Cane!

Twirls, stomps, hits, oh my!
Malia brings her unique and impassioned cane technique to the teaching floor in this lively workshop.
Filled with traditional and not-so-traditional steps, come learn twirling, foundation moves,
and few advanced things to spice up your own raks assaya. Basic belly dance knowledge is suggested.
Please wear comfortable and form-fitting clothing, bring your own cane and a few rubber bands.

Starring Sabine from Oregon, master of Sword Dancing.
Tribal Belly Dance is an American dance form fusing Belly Dance
with older folkloric moves from the Middle East, North Africa,
the Renaissance, and the Victorian era. With its unique costuming,
the dance may also include swords and other props, snake arms, Afghan jewelry and more.
